Chore Chart Bingo

I came up with this chore chart to try to add some fun (and regularity) in my kids doing chores around the house.  When they do 5 of these chores and complete a bingo, I reward them with stickers or candy.  When they have completed all of the chores and achieve blackout then they get a bigger prize.  Maybe a trip to the dollar store or ice cream cone.  

Here is the chore chart bingo sheet I made-

I put it in a sheet protector to help it last longer.  (It would be cute in a frame but I was too lazy to make it look nice).  :)  My kids use a dry erase marker to mark off the chores they complete.  They always get excited when they complete a bingo.  My favorite square is Mom's choice which allows me to choose anything around the house that I need done.

All About Me Books

This was a little project we worked on during school time over a full week, each day adding a couple of pages to our "All About Me" books.  It was a fun way to incorporate writing, drawing, and recording some of my kids' current favorites.

ABC Bingo for Preschoolers

Here is a fun, simple way for preschoolers to practice their letters- ABC Bingo. Below are 4 bingo cards with the ABC's.  I would recommend printing them on card stock and putting them in sheet protectors to keep them clean and reusable. The last page has all of the letters of the alphabet that you can cut out.  We usually use cheerios or m&m's for our markers.  You could easily use scraps of paper as well.

Fruit Loop Flowers

This was a little art project that my kids enjoyed that required little preparation.  I drew a flower (with dotted lines) and then my kids glued fruit loops on the lines.  (It was a lot of gluing for my 2 year old, so I had her trace the rest of the flower with markers instead).  

Home Preschool Ideas- Eye Dropper Activity

This is a great project for your preschooler that promotes fine motor skills.  

Items Needed:

eye dropper

wax paper

food coloring

plain sheet of paper

cookie sheet (for easy cleanup)

On a sheet of wax paper, draw small circles with a permanent marker.  (In the picture above, you can see that I made several shapes out of small circles to fill in.  In the picture below, I drew small circles in 4 straight lines).  Place a piece of white paper underneath the wax paper (to make it easier to see) and then place that on a cookie sheet to avoid any spills.  Put a few drops of coloring dye in a mug of water.  Then you are ready to go.  I always encourage my son to to go nice and slow and concentrate on making a dot in the middle of each circle.  My son really enjoys these eye dropper projects.

Do a Dot Printables- ABC's

When I volunteered at my son's preschool, I was introduced to do a dot markers for the first time.  The class used these markers for every class.  They would always start the day with a worksheet of a letter from the alphabet.  After filling in all of the circles with the do a dot markers, the kids would practice writing the letter 3 times.  I decided to make my own worksheets for my kids to do at home.

If you're looking for do a dot markers, I purchased mine from amazon, which was much cheaper than Target or Walmart.  I recently went to TJ Maxx though and noticed they had do a dot markers that were even a few dollars cheaper than amazon.

If you don't have do a dot markers or want to change things up, you can also have your kids fill the circles in with cheerios, lucky charms, smarties, etc.
